You have finally decided on what to go as this Halloween. You are going to be an Angel. You have bought your costume and tried it on, but now what? How many other people do you think are going to be Angels this Halloween? How do you make yourself stand out against the crowd? You really want to look amazing and have everyone know how much thought you put into your costume. That is what I am here to help you with. I want to share some tips that I have come up with to help you look and feel Heavenly this Halloween. First I want to give you a list of accessory ideas that will compliment any Angel Halloween costume. Then I will give you ideas on how to either find or make some of the less accessible accessories. Plus I’ll give you a great, easy, and secret idea that will make you look like the most unique angel ever to hit a party. Let us get right to the list then. Some of the ideas I listed are not as easy to get as just opening your make-up drawer and pulling them out, or maybe you just don’t know where to find some of them. The wings, halo, hair glitter and face glitter can be picked up at any Wal-Mart or craft store, and you can even find the bells and fake nails there too. In fact, most of the items on the list can be picked up at a craft store. As for finding a necklace with cross pendant, you might have to look harder for a nice, cheap example of that. I suggest looking at local thrift stores or flea markets. Perhaps try to find a necklace separate from the pendant.

Now I want to tell you of my favorite variation of the Angel Halloween costume. I call it the Spunky Angel. All you need is your traditional Angel costume plus a few items that just about every girl has. You need a pair of chucks, knee high rainbow sock, an iPod, and some wristbands or forearm fishnet sleeves. Put all that together and you have a creative spin-off to the traditional Angel costume.

The theme “Naughty and Nice” is a fabulous one for an adult birthday party. The girls can wear fancy dress costumes and the guys can dress up as devils. One of the most original and, in my opinion prettiest, angel fancy dress costumes that I have seen recently is a cute Cupid set, which consists of a short red satin dress trimmed with red fake fur and also includes a bow and arrow set with red feather wings. “Fallen” or “dark” angel outfits are very dramatic looking and are becoming increasingly popular to wear at parties. One dress that has particularly drawn my attention is a beautiful black crushed velvet creation with net sleeves and “marabou” feather trim at the collar and cuffs. This outfit would look great teamed with black feathered wings, black stockings and black sculptured horror nails. Another “fallen angel” outfit I have spotted on the internet is a one-piece dark angel fancy dress costume, which consists of a gathered “Spandex” mini tube dress with built-in petticoat. The great thing about dresses like these is their versatility, as they can be worn on their own for a night out, so you are getting excellent value for money.

If you want to dress as a “good” angel, you can look heavenly in a variety of white, pastel pink, gold or silver dresses, with matching wings and halos. An array of accessories, ranging from stockings and tights, to gloves, belts and sparkling body paint, will complement your angel fancy dress costume and ensure that you have a birthday party to remember.
